Morningside Privacy Policy
This page is the privacy policy for the Morningside Excel add-in by NSC Labs.
Overview
Morningside is a static Excel Office add-in for local workbook history. It helps users capture workbook moments, compare selected cells or ranges, and restore selected workbook states.
Workbook data
Morningside does not send workbook contents to an NSC Labs backend.
Captured workbook frames are stored inside the user’s workbook in a hidden worksheet named _morningside_ledger.
Workbook history stays inside the workbook unless the user chooses to share, export, upload, or sync the workbook through Microsoft Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint, email, or another service outside Morningside.
Hosted add-in files
The hosted Morningside page serves static add-in files, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and icons.
The hosted page is used to load the Excel task pane. It is not used to receive, store, or process workbook contents.
No workbook-data backend
Morningside does not use a workbook-data backend, SQL database, LLM processing, or cloud workbook processing.
Local storage
Morningside may use local browser or Office host storage as a cache or fallback when workbook sheet access is unavailable. The primary workbook history ledger is stored inside the workbook.
Server logs
Like most websites, the hosting provider may maintain standard server logs, such as IP address, requested files, timestamps, and user agent, for security and operational purposes.
Static file requests for Morningside may appear in ordinary server logs when the task pane, scripts, stylesheets, or icons are loaded. These logs do not contain workbook contents.
Analytics and advertising
Morningside does not use advertising trackers or behavioral analytics scripts.
Data sharing
NSC Labs does not sell personal data. Morningside does not intentionally transmit workbook contents to NSC Labs servers.
